Capital Solutions

Driven by your growth

Our capital solutions are designed to help entrepreneurs and businesses achieve their ambitions and get where they want to go. From providing debt, to equity, we work in partnership with New Zealand businesses to help finance growth investment, development, strategic acquisitions, and succession planning across a broad range of industries.

Principal Investments

Principal Investments provides bespoke funding solutions to private businesses and unique investment opportunities to private wholesale investors (not suitable for retail investors).

We have extensive experience investing in and helping New Zealand companies execute their strategic plans and grow their businesses.

Our investments include financing acquisitions, providing growth capital, taking pre-IPO stakes, and succession planning. Principal Investments is funded using a mix of capital from the Jarden balance sheet, while also providing opportunities to our network of private wholesale investors.

Partner with us

Jarden usually partners with established businesses that have proven profit models, or those operating in a developed market, with a clear plan to achieve growth.

While having a clear set of criteria for potential investments, we are also flexible about their size and stage. This means we look to invest between $5-30 million at a time.

We are focused on forming strategic partnerships with existing owners and management, and other capital providers as required.

We generally look to play a role in the governance of businesses we invest in, utilising Jarden’s wider expertise and bringing in additional independent specialists when valuable and complimentary.

Flexible capital and unmatched networks

Because we structure and fund each investment separately, our solutions can be uniquely tailored to each of our partners, including:

  • Time frame of investment
  • Position in the capital structure (debt, equity, or somewhere in between)
  • Governance role
  • Primary or secondary (existing or new shares)

Where required we also provide access to Jarden’s strategic and investment banking expertise – including across mergers and acquisitions, financing, and equity offerings.

Opportunities to invest

Principal Investments provides wholesale certified clients of Jarden with opportunities to invest alongside Jarden in the investments made by Principal Investments. Investment is not suitable for retail investors.
