Ross Mitchell
Director, Investment Banking
Ross Mitchell advises listed companies and private clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and other advisory mandates. He has experience across a broad range of sectors in New Zealand, the UK and Europe, with a particular focus on energy and infrastructure.
Ross began his career at PwC before joining the investment banking team at the Auckland office of ABN AMRO. Following its acquisition by the Royal Bank of Scotland, he transferred to the London office of RBS and later joined investment bank Canaccord Genuity Hawkpoint, where he specialised in mergers and acquisitions and capital raising in the sustainability sector.
Ross has a strong interest in sustainability, from renewable energy through to wider resource efficiency themes, with significant transaction experience in this space as well as wider infrastructure sectors (energy, transport, waste management, digital, etc). Ross enjoys working with both local and international clients.
Ross has a BCom (Accounting & Finance)/LLB from the University of Auckland. He is qualified as a CFA® Charterholder and a Chartered Accountant, and has been admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor. Ross spent almost ten years living in London, travelling across Europe and frequently to Colombia, his wife’s country of origin, before returning to New Zealand and joining Jarden in 2019. They have three young children Antonio, Martina and Silvia.
